Research Topics
For this week's blog posting, please reply to this and post the topic that you are researching for your annotated bibliography. This will allow you to communicate with one another, and will allow ME to forward suggestions for you to follow up on.
I am going to research the unreliable narrator. Why does he feel he has to lie? Does it make the story more interesting? Why do writers take this approach to his/her story? Can the reader trust the storyline? How do we know when he is lying or telling the truth?
I am going to do the Greek theater its true motives. What is the relationship of the actors and the playgoer? How much of a part does movement play in the explanation if the poetry? Is movement needed in poetry? Is poetry verbal movement?
I am going to depict the role(s) of a woman in a Greek society. What was expected of a woman? Was life harsh for them in ancient Greek times? Did their roles ever change due to politics, economy, new culture, etc.? How can we compare them to most women today?
I am researching death in Ancient Greek society. How was death viewed? What were the rituals? What was expected at funerals? Were all classes of society treated the same? How does that differ from American views today?
I am researching women's fashion. I want to relate women's fashion to something such as their society or the influences of their fashion in other cultures. I am not sure yet...
HEY GUYS!!!! :-) Im doing my research on the movie Suddenly, Last Summer; How the plays differs from the flim, The type of relationship the mom and son had, and the background of Tennesse Williams.
